Milo, like a lot of others in the Army, would go from base to base. Some live in towns near the bases and some live some miles away. For a man in the military, his family is also in the military - they just don't get paid for it. This is not an easy life. Milo and his family were members of the Methodist church in Temple when Milo was taken from us, as the arms of the members held his wife in her time of need. I read about his death in a small article in the newspaper. I had just returned from Vietnam in June of 1969. I didn't know Milo but I went to his service and sat in the back and I cried. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I looked up to see another vet I knew - he had tears rolling down his cheeks too. He asked me if I knew Milo and I said I didn't but I felt I had to come. He smiled and said the same thing and we walked out of the church and we hugged each other and went our oun ways. Milo Clinton Isaacs gave his all for his country and for us, I am honored to say he is my comrade and my brother in combat.
