James Russell was my cousin and I would like to add the attached pictures.

On April 23, 1967, the 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry (Mechanized) secured a Landing Zone (LZ) in the area of grid coordinates of XT 5331 for the 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry. The battalion also secured routes of communication. Three Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs) detonated Anti-Tank mines resulting in two Bobcats from Company C being killed and three wounded.

The other Bobcat killed in action was SP4 Stephen Lynn Colopy from Danville, Ohio.
