One of my best friends during my early 1960's school days in Southeast Washington D.C. Frank was always smiles. His family travelled to Spokane where I spent the spring semester at Rogers High School in 1964. Had it not been for their family I would have been a high school dropout. I last saw him at Fort Hood, Texas, in 1967 while I was stationed at nearby Gray Field before my deployment with an aviation unit to Vietnam. Found him by chance. I still remember Bob Dylon on the radio while we had our last conversation ever at a small bar on post. It wasn't until a few yars ago when I got a computer that I found out he was killed in action. What a shame and loss. He was only 20 and I am 58. John Bryant |
