William Wayne Wood is on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Panel 13W Line 039 .

22 Mar 2004 I didn't know William Wayne Wood personally but my brother James H Waulk Jr and Mr Wood served together in the same unit and became fast friends (both from Ohio). From my understanding there were three men in that group of friends - my brother James H Waulk Jr, William Wayne Wood, and Mr Ray Cage. My brother as well as Mr Wood both lost their lives on Feb 20, 1970 while walking point and I just want to say that while I know I can't thank William Wayne Wood in person for his kindness in befriending my brother I know in my heart that somehow he knows.
