2,539 of the men named on the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial were placed in a "Missing in Action" status and their families
left in a state of limbo. We know that some of these men will never return - those lost at sea, for example. But
some do come home.

These lists are prepared from the Defense Department Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office's Personnel Missing - South East Asia (PM-SEA) database, which is published quarterly. We update our listing shortly after the DoD office publishes their update. Current information not yet published in the quarterly updates can be obtained at the DoD POW/MP Office site.
For completeness' sake, and to provide a ready reference, we have included all of the MIA's, while dividing them between those on the Virtual Wall and those not yet memorialized. Those memorialized on the Virtual Wall are linked to their memorial page.
