George is remembered by his mother and father, Joe and Jean Silva, and his only sister, Elizabeth Silva Breeze. He was and still is in all of our hearts and is remembered and missed by many friends and family.

It's been 33 1/2 years, buddy. Holbrook, Sergeant Mescher, Giangroso and I are trying to get together next month. I wish you were there to join us, brother. I remember how you and I ate that Gallo Salami my Mom sent us from San Francisco the day before we got hit. Us Nor-Cal boys had to stick together... Gotta go now, 'Gunner'.
